LEADERSHIP STANLY

Each year, the Leadership Stanly Steering Committee selects a class of gifted and highly motivated leaders for a series of seminars and retreats. Class members are exposed to regional concerns and opportunities through a series of discussion forums. The monthly programs are planned by experts in economic development, government, public works, transportation, education, and other fields. The programs focus on current decision-making and explores ways in which regional efforts may prove fruitful. Field studies and community awareness visits augment the curriculum.

The class members are required to attend the retreat in October and the one-day sessions generally held on the third Wednesday each month September through May. Class size is limited to 25-30. The program fee of $625 (chamber member) $725 (non-Chamber member) covers all costs for the nine-month period, including speakers, scheduled meals, lodging, materials, mailings, and the graduation ceremony for each participant and guest.
